Barbara over at Creatorship blog recently shared this amazing exercise:

1. While sitting where you are, at your desk, in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction!

Pretty cool, huh? I bet your right foot switched directions and started going in the same direction of counterclockwise like your right hand. Why does it do that?
Emily Diane Gunter a delightful spiritual coach of mine and featured Belle with Balls shares this exercise in her book, Thirteen Golden Keys to Learning. Emily says....

The left side of your brain is logical, linear, analytical, thinking and reasoning. The right side of your brain uses creative insight and is relaxed. The left and right hemispheres of the brain are connected to the opposite sides of the body. This exercise demonstrates that something must be done to connect the two sides of your brain. How you do that is through deep breathing and relaxation.

This is Whole mind learning and is the system of integrating your relaxed mind and reasoning mind for optimum learning. When your reasoning mind receives complete information intuitively from your relaxed creative mind, the reasoning mind has the opportunity to use its skill to intelligently express the information.
